E-books offer many advantages than traditional hard copy books. They are less expensive to make, easier to sell, easy to promote and helps the environment. Once thought of as the last hope for the beginning author, now even established authors release electronic books or make sure their publishers place their books in e-format for their fans.

Disadvantages of Traditional Publishing

It is practically impossible for a beginning author to get a traditional book deal. Publishers are so inundated with manuscripts that they may automatically reject any not submitted by a literary agent. Publishing houses will only produce manuscripts that they feel have a large market.

Publishing houses no longer promote new authors. So even if a new author manages to land a book deal, there will be second book deal because of poor sales. This means the author has to promote his or her own books. This is incredibly expensive and easily runs into five figures.

E-book Ease

With e-books, writers can bypass begging to traditional publishers and go straight to print. All publicity can be done on-line for little expense instead of in-person at book signing event. Authors do not have to worry about selling out a print run because e-books do not print any extra copies.

There are numerous ways that one can get their books published online. Many sites specialize in publishing works by new authors. One can either get a tradtional book published online, or can publish an ebook. One can simply google terms “publish your book online” to get a list of providers.
One simply has to contact the publishers in question to get a list of their requirements for publishing and submit their manuscripts or content for the websites approval. Most of the online publishers have some requirements they need for the author to follow. Other than that the process is fairly open. One might want to take a look at the various publishing sites that are available online, and the price they are charging to print a book before they submit their material.
In most cases a complete book including bindings and illustrations can be printed for the individual. The process of publishing ebooks is even simpler. Many authors are making money with the publishing and selling of their ebooks. One should look specifically for an ebook publisher to get this process completed. It is not difficult to get a book or ebook published online, just be aware their are typically costs associated with the project.

There are plenty of new writers out there who want to find a way to get their stories and novels published. It has always been the dream of emerging authors to achieve the same fame and fortune that their idols enjoy. That is why so many of these writers feel as though they should seek out publishing houses in hopes of gaining a high amount of recognition. After all, every writer wants a large base of readers.

The first step to getting a publisher interested in a story is to seek out an agent. While many professionals will tell new writers that they do not need an agent at first, this is sadly not true. A good agent will be able to properly market the writer’s stories to the right people.

One an agent has been secured, it will be up to them to market the writer’s work to interested publishing houses. This begins the process of submitting the stories in question over and over again until a company bites. It is a long and tedious process and many new writers become frustrated with the initial rejection.

If a writer has truly imaginative and innovative stories, they will eventually make it to a reliable publisher.

Most how-to books on the market are boring dry affairs. They simple list all the steps one after another and ignore any sort of style or creative writing. Being able to write and publish a creative how-to book will allow you to stand out from the crowd and gain success in a world dominated by boring books.

Making a how-to book creative may seem impossible. However, there is much more than just starting at step one and laying it all out. An easy way to start the book is with a list of the 10 most common mistakes that people make about whatever it is you are writing on. People love reading lists and it feels more like interesting reading rather than a boring how-to. From there you can make lists of all the supplies needed, and give your brand recommendations instead of just giving them a generic guide.

To make it creative, you have to make it personal. If you make them feel like they are being taught by another human being, they will enjoy what you have to say and remember it more. Avoid writing in a technical way to keep people coming back to your creative how-to book.

“So you’ve written a book, now what?”, is a question that occurs to most beginning authors. The first thing that’s needed is to find a reliable firm to publish the book. Authors have already done the difficult part, now it’s time to ensure that their book is printed. There are a number of publishing firmswho can provide services for authors. Many publishers will read manuscripts and offer authors advice on their work. This can be a great way for an author to see how good their book is and have it published.

Online publishers are looking for authors everyday, and they’ll be glad to check out an author’s work. Some of these firms will gladly pay an author for the work they’ve done, while others will ensure a book is published for a fee. These are both viable options, and many authors choose the publisher that’s right for them.

Random House is a well known company, and they can provide information for authors. This firm usually doesn’t take manuscripts directly from authors, but they deal with agents who represent writers. 48hr books is another firm that will publish a writer’s work, and they’ll ensure it’s published in as little as two days. Publish America will assist authors who want their work published. These are just a few of the firms that provide authors with publishing services.

Authors, who have written a book, have already done the hard part, and they need to find someone to publish their work. The internet has a variety of publishers that will read an authors work and make recommendations about the manuscript. Agents are another consideration, and many of these professionals have the industry contacts that allow a writer to have their book published.
